U.S. economy rebounds to pre-pandemic levels

Consumer spending drove a 6.5 percent annualized increase in the gross domestic product of the U.S., returning the country to pre-pandemic levels. Weekly claims for first time unemployment fell by 24,000 for the week ending July 24.
