U.S. sales lifted Ahold Delhaize's quarterly results

Ahold Delhaize, which operates Food Lion, Hannaford and Stop & Shop, reported a 22 percent gain in fourth-quarter earnings largely on the strength of its U.S. performance. Same-store sales in the U.S. were up 9.3 percent year-over-year.
