Unions support four-day workweek legislation

Rep. Mark Takano (D-CA) has reintroduced a bill in the House of Representatives to make a 32-hour workweek the federal standard. Mr. Takano's legislation faces a tough time getting a floor vote in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. The bill has the support of 4 Day Week Global, the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), Service Employees International Union and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.
