USDA considers cutting milk from WIC nutrition program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is considering how much milk low-income women and children receive through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The cuts are being considered to bring consumption in line with nutritional science that shows that current WIC participants receive milk up to 128 percent of the recommended daily amount of dairy.
