Vodka Introduces New Spirit From Outer Space

May 4, 2024

In the realm of spirits, innovation is often the key to standing out amidst a sea of familiar flavors. Enter Shooting Star Vodka, a groundbreaking concoction that defies convention with its infusion of a truly extraterrestrial ingredient: a meteorite discovered in 1977. This celestial addition has transformed the humble vodka into a cosmic elixir, promising drinkers a taste experience unlike any other.

The brainchild of Maxime Girardin, the 27-year-old founder and CEO of Pegasus Distillerie, Shooting Star Vodka represents a bold leap into uncharted territory. Founded in the picturesque Burgundy region of France in 2021, Pegasus Distillerie has quickly garnered attention for its commitment to crafting premium organic spirits that embody the spirit of the cosmos.

Drawing inspiration from the vast expanse of the night sky, Girardin and his team embarked on a quest to capture the essence of the stars in a bottle. The result? Shooting Star Vodka, a testament to innovation and creativity in the world of spirits.

But what sets Shooting Star Vodka apart from its peers is its unique infusion process. While other products have dabbled in filtering through meteorites, Shooting Star Vodka proudly claims the title of being the first Ultra-Premium vodka to incorporate this space rock directly into its formula. The meteorite, carefully selected for its quality and composition, lends a special taste and texture to the vodka, elevating it to new heights of sophistication.

According to the NY Post, “Shooting Star Vodka is made from organic, locally sourced wheat and botanicals from France that’s been distilled using iStill — the most advanced distilling technology — and slowly reduced over a month-long period with pure spring water from the well 150 meters below the distillery in Burgundy under a cathedral of zinc and glass.”

With only 4,806 bottles available for purchase, each priced between $180 to $200, Shooting Star Vodka is a rare commodity.
