Wal-Mart Could Be Oasis in Food Deserts

Farmers markets are not the answer to delivering fruits and veggies to the large number of consumers of poor and moderate means in so-called food deserts, according to Sallie James, an agricultural trade policy analyst with the Cato Institute. The answer is found in the unrivaled distribution system of Wal-Mart Stores.
