Wal-Mart Fighting OSHA Over Trampling Fine

Wal-Mart Stores has spent millions fighting a $7,000 fine against the company by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) following an accident that saw an employee trampled to death by large crowds on Black Friday in 2008. The retailer said it has no choice since OSHA wants to include "crowd trampling" among the occupational hazards of working in retail.
