Walgreens abandons full Rite Aid Buyout

Walgreens' management has decided that hurdles imposed by antitrust regulators has made its deal to acquire Rite Aid untenable and instead is working on a plan that will see the chain pick up 2,186 stores, three distribution centers and related inventory from Rite Aid for about $5.18 billion.
