Walgreens and Kroger to broaden cooperative initiative

Expanding on its pilot launched in October of last year in Northern Kentucky near Kroger’s Cincinnati headquarters, the supermarket and drug store giants will add more stores to the test in the Knoxville, TN area. The initiative includes the installation of Kroger Express and Kroger Pickup departments at some Walgreens stores. The two chains are also featuring a selection of each other’s private label products on their respective shelves.
