Walgreens Makes Competing Bid for Longs

Walgreens has jumped into the bidding for Longs Drug Stores with a higher offer than that made by CVS Caremark. The deal with CVS has faced opposition from shareholders who believe Longs real estate assets were undervalued in the offer.
