Walgreens pushing ahead with MD-staffed in-store clinics

Walgreens announced that it plans to open 40 doctor-staffed clinics operated by VillageMD in 40 additional locations by next summer. The drugstore chain said in July that it would invest up to $1 billion within five years to open up to 700 of the clinics 30 markets around the U.S.
