Walgreens to Acquire Duane Reade

Walgreens has reached an agreement to buy Duane Reade, the largest drugstore chain operating in New York City, for $1.075 billion. In the deal, Walgreens will acquire 257 stores, a corporate headquarters and two distribution centers.
