Walmart Introduces ‘Wicked’ Mystery Color Mac and Cheese

October 16, 2024

Walmart has introduced a “Wicked” mystery color macaroni and cheese cup as the movie readies to make its theatrical debut.

The store’s Great Value brand has manufactured pink and green microwaveable cups that feature silhouettes of the main characters from “Wicked,” Elphaba and Glinda. Once heated, the product features either pink or green color-changing cheese, according to Walmart’s description of the item on its website.

“Which will you get?” asks the packaging. The product changes color when hot water is added, and the product is microwaved and cooked through.

The product is already sold out online. However, fans of the movie may be able to find them on shelves at their local Walmart stores. It retails for $1 per cup.

What Other ‘Wicked’ Products Does Walmart Sell?

“Wicked” fans can choose from many movie-themed options at Walmart. The store is filled with items tied to the movie in its clothing, food, and accessories departments.

Besides color-changing mac and cheese, Betty Crocker is selling other color-changing food products at the retailer. The company is promoting its color-changing cupcake mix as well as color-changing cookie dough pops.

There are also collectible dolls, books, nail polish in Glinda pink and Elphaba green, as well as hoodies, backpacks, slippers, and necklaces. If “Wicked” fans are looking for a Halloween costume, there are also adult and children’s costumes for sale that represent the characters.

“Wicked” introduces the character of Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) as an extraordinary college student with a special power. She crosses paths with and ultimately becomes best friends with Glinda (Ariana Grande), a superficial student. Together, they learn that not everyone is as wicked as initially perceived.

Part one of the two-part “Wicked” film series releases on Nov. 22, 2024. The second part will hit theaters on Nov. 21, 2025.
