Wendy’s Has Officially Released the Salted Caramel Frosty

Fast food giant Wendy’s has officially added the cool yet cozy Salted Caramel Frosty to its menu, just in time for sweater weather.

In celebration of the treat’s 55th anniversary, Wendy’s debuted the new, limited-time flavor. The frozen dessert features notes of rich, salty caramel, and it will join the Chocolate Frosty on menus, replacing the SpongeBob SquarePants-themed Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty and the Vanilla Frosty for a limited time at participating U.S. Wendy’s locations. In September 2024, Wendy’s Vanilla Frosty returned to menus after being temporarily discontinued in March.

The Salted Caramel Frosty isn’t the only limited-run flavor Wendy’s has introduced to its customers. Per Wendy’s website, there have also been Strawberry, Peppermint, Pumpkin Spice, Orange Dreamsicle, and Triple Berry Frosty limited versions.

Fans can find this new dessert option at all Wendy’s restaurants nationwide, according to a press release. The Frosty can also be ordered via Wendy’s mobile app.

Wendy’s Frosty is both a drink and dessert. The website states, “It’s super thick and creamy so you may have to wait for a while for it to melt. Traditionally a spoon is the way to go. And don’t be shy about dipping into it with fries. Chef’s kiss.”

Wendy’s fans can also enjoy other tastes that have recently debuted at restaurants for fall. These new menu items include a Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger and a fresh take on the beloved Taco Salad.

The Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger features savory roasted mushrooms, crispy bacon, Muenster cheese, and creamy garlic spread atop a beef burger patty. The fan-favorite Taco Salad includes a new creamy, zesty salsa dressing, fire-roasted corn, crispy tortilla strips, and Wendy’s famous chili.

John Li, Wendy’s vice president of culinary innovation, said, “Wendy’s fall menu items were crafted to bring both comfort and joy to our customers, tapping into the flavors they crave as temperatures drop. From the sweetness of Salted Caramel with our famous Frosty to the savory richness of Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger and zesty Taco Salad, we’re launching new menu items with depth and variety for every fan.”

The Salted Caramel Frosty is available for a limited time at participating Wendy’s restaurants.
