Whataburger Celebrates Veterans Day With Free Coffee for Active & Retired Military

November 5, 2024

Whataburger has announced that it will be giving away free coffee for active and retired military members on Veterans Day.

A press release announcement revealed that veterans and active-duty military personnel can get their free coffee in any dining room as long as they are in uniform or have a valid ID.

This deal is offered around the clock because Whataburger understands that the call to serve doesn’t adhere to a 9 to 5 schedule. Veterans and service members can enjoy free coffee on their timeline before an early-morning workout, during a late shift, or somewhere in between.

Additionally, it doesn’t end on Veterans Day. All year long, this free coffee offer for vets will be available every day.

Whataburger Involved in the New ‘Burger Wars’

Recently, the growing fast-food giant made headlines for being at the center of the new “burger wars” courtesy of WWE superstar Dominik Mysterio.

Because of his propensity for provocation, the WWE superstar is arguably one of the organization’s most well-liked performers. However, it is still unclear whether this provocation will result in higher sales for In-N-Out Burger or, on the other hand, lower sales for Whataburger.

The emerging talent was recently a guest on the Chris Van Vilet podcast, which premiered the “Dirty Dom” edition on Friday, Oct. 25. My San Antonio shared that WWE fans know him as the “ungrateful” son of lucha libre legend and WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.

In the episode, one specific comment caught the attention of Whataburger acolytes, giving fans even more grounds to criticize the self-described “best Mysterio of all time.”

When asked if he eats anything else when “tendies” aren’t on the menu, he said that his insatiable love for them isn’t a ruse and that he usually eats them at restaurants. Dom went on to discuss how much he enjoys In-N-Out and how, if it came to it, he could eat it every day of the week.

When Chris Van Vilet brought up Whataburger as a comparison, Dom interrupted him. “Whataburger is sh-t,” he proclaimed. “It’s like, I got a cold patty. So, (the cold patty) it’s a thing? The cheese wasn’t even melted, it’s crazy.”
