Whole Foods Mac and Cheese Bites Recalled for Undeclared Allergen

If you recently bought mac and cheese bites at Whole Foods Market, the product may be under recall because of a potential undeclared allergen.

“C.H. Guenther & Son LLC of San Antonio, TX, is recalling its 365 Whole Foods Market Small Bites Macaroni & Cheese because it may contain undeclared eggs and meat ingredients,” reads a March 14 notice on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website. “People who have allergies to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.” A customer reported the error after biting into one food item and realizing it contained meat.

The product was sold nationwide at Whole Foods Market stores in the frozen food aisle in 8.5-ounce cartons. The sale dates were between Feb. 6, 2025, and March 11, 2025. The box has the UPC Code 99482499709 and a best-by date of Nov. 29, 2025.

Customers who purchased the Small Bites Macaroni & Cheese with the aforementioned lot information are urged to destroy any remaining product and may bring a valid receipt into the store for a full refund.
