Winn Dixie forgoes requiring masks to avoid friction with shoppers

Winn Dixie has decided that, short of a state order requiring masks, it will not force shoppers in its stores to wear face coverings. The grocery chain, owned by Southeastern Grocers, has installed Plexiglas dividers in its stores and taken other steps in an effort to protect associates and customers.
