AARP: Advertisers ignoring older Americans

More than a third of the U.S. population is 50 years of age or older, yet only 15 percent of media images are of the same demographic, according to a study by AARP. The same research found that while 53 million people 50 years or older are employed, only 13 percent of media images show them working.
