Short-staffed shipping firms could lead to late Christmas deliveries

Delivery and warehouse companies fell short of their staffing goals leading into the holiday season. Payrolls in transportation and warehousing fell 17 percent in October, according to data from the Labor Department and Challenger, Gray and Christmas, an outplacement firm.
