Walmart deploys ‘swat teams’ that specialize in store remodels

Remodeling stores is a tricky assignment because, in most cases, the chain can’t afford to shut down operations or disrupt store traffic too badly. Walmart remodels 500 stores a year, so management is forming “swat teams” of specialized personnel that travel from store to store and work through the process as efficiently as possible.
