Share growth is not necessarily the best indicator of the best retailer, since there are as many ways to grade retail greatness as there are — well, graders. According to Motley Fool’s Jeremy Bowman, seven retail companies stood out for outstanding market performance during the past decade. Many have been the stuff of headlines throughout the period; others seem to have flown under the radar. Topping the list is Lululemon Athletica, which managed an astounding 1380 percent share price increase since 2010. Coming in at #3 is O’Reilly Automotive, with a 1050 percent increase.
