Higher minimum wage tied to lower suicide rates

A study published in the Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health found that a $1 increase in the minimum wage corresponded to a 3.4 percent to 5.9 percent decline in suicide rates among people with a high school diploma or less. Researchers at Emory University analyzed data from all 50 states and the District of Columbia between 1990 and 2015.
