Private equity firm acquires Work World chain
January 10, 2020
Gart Capital Partners has acquired Work World, which sells Carhartt, Wolverine and other heavy-duty workplace gear. The chain currently operates 23 stores in California and Nevada. “The working person is such a large segment of America and there just hasn’t been a retailer specifically focused on serving that segment,” said Alex Gart, partner of the private equity firm. “That’s why a brick-and-mortar, specialty retail concept for this is such a powerful channel for these types of products.”
