Dairy Farmers of America to acquire Dean Foods

Dairy Farmers of America, a farmer-owned cooperative, has agreed to pay $425 million to acquire 44 of Dean Foods’ facilities and other assets. DFA will also assume some of Dean’s liabilities. Dean Foods, which is the largest dairy processor in the U.S., filed for bankruptcy in November.
