Dollar Tree reports better-than-expected 3Q results

Dollar Tree reported same-store sales at its namesake chain grew four percent in the third quarter and Family Dollar’s same-store sales rose 6.4 percent as the the retailer reported better-than-expected corporate sales and earnings. The dollar store giant announced the expansion of its Dollar Tree Plus concept that sells higher-price merchandise from 100 to 500 stores.
