Over 35,000 grocery workers have been infected with COVID-19 since the pandemic hit the U.S. last year. Nearly 160 of those eventually died as a result of catching the virus. As these associates showed up for their shifts daily, questions arose about working conditions and the responsibility of employers to meet the needs of families who have lost loved ones.
