Mattel announces takeback plan to recycle old toys

Mattel has launched a toy takeback program designed to turn materials from Old Barbie, Matchbox and Mega brand products into new items. The toy maker plans to eventually add more old toys to the list of products it will accept back from consumers in an effort to reduce the amount that winds up in landfills.
