Nestlé reassesses its ‘unhealthy’ product portfolio

Nestlé has acknowledged in an internal company memo, according to a story by the Financial Times, that over 60 percent of its core food and beverage products are unhealthy. The company is reportedly involved in a review this year to judge its food and beverage portfolio against third-party rating systems, such as Health Star Rating and Nutri-Score, largely in response to a rash of criticism from consumers and governments worldwide.
