Childcare issues complicate parents returning to work

The number of people employed in childcare has fallen by more than 126,000 positions as those working in the industry go looking for better paying jobs. The lack of workers has meant that fewer daycare and after-school programs are being offered and that is keeping parents, predominantly women, from returning to work themselves.
