Fred Meyer and QFC workers prepare to picket stores

Grocery workers employed at Fred Meyer and Quality Food Centers (QFC) have voted to authorize a strike if their demands for increased wages and improved benefits are not met. The workers, who are represented by Local 555 of the United Food and Commercial Workers union, could begin picketing stores as early as Friday.
