McD’s sells tech firm it bought to personalize its drive-thru experience

McDonald’s acquired Dynamic Yield about three years ago with the goal of using the firm’s personalization and decision logic technology to help improve how it handles customer transactions at its drive-thrus. Yesterday, company management disclosed that it is selling Dynamic Yield to Mastercard. The acquisition, reportedly worth $300 million, represented McDonald’s biggest purchase to date.
