Baristas vote for union at second Buffalo-area Starbucks

Workers at a Starbucks in the Buffalo, NY, area have voted to be represented by Starbucks Workers United, according the results confirmed by the National Labor Relations Board. The store becomes the second in the market to unionize. Workers at the first location walked off the job last week after claiming Starbucks was not taking enough action to protect them in light of the recent outbreak of the Omicron variant.
