FTC says Weight Watchers gathered data on kids

The Kurbo by WW (formerly Weight Watchers) app gathered information on kids as young as eight without their parents’ consent, according to a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) complaint. WW agreed to pay a $1.5 million penalty and erase algorithms used to collect the information from kids.
