Hurricane Ian really stung Florida’s beekeeping industry hard

Hurricane Ian destroyed up to 300,000 beehives, according to the Florida State Beekeepers Association. The loss of the hives could cause delays in pollination at farms across the country that lease the bees. That in turn would negatively affect the nation’s supply of pollinated crops.
