The leader of Israel’s Chief Rabbinate declared that lab-grown steak is neither milk nor meat, making it acceptable to be eaten as part of a kosher diet. Not all Jewish religious leaders appear ready to take the same view, raising doubt as to whether religious authors inside and outside of Judaism will approve of their members eating lab-raised meat.
