Kroger remains committed to opening automated warehouses with Ocado even though it has only opened or planned 16 of the 20 it said it planned to open. “They expect to have loads of these warehouses. But when you do something new, you need to make it work really well before you scale it up massively,” said Ocado CEO Tim Steiner.
