STōK Cold Brew Coffee, a prominent cold brew coffee brand in the U.S., has been announced as the official sponsor of the Wrexham Association Football Club’s Racecourse Ground in Wales. This marks the first time that the world’s oldest international football stadium will have a sponsor, with the sponsorship set to take effect from July 1, 2023.
In a video announcement featuring Co-Chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, the club revealed the partnership and showcased the team’s reaction to a surprise switch from traditional afternoon tea to STōK Cold Brew Coffee. The Co-Chairmen expressed their excitement and humorously mentioned their over-caffeination. The decision to attach a sponsor name to the historic Cae Ras/Racecourse was supported by the Club Advisory Board, consisting of supporter representatives.
Although STōK does not currently sell cold brew in the UK, the brand resonated with Wrexham’s spirit and growth trajectory. The partnership is expected to extend beyond the stadium, including sponsorship of Wrexham AFC’s American tour.
STōK Cold Brew, known for its bold and smooth coffee, aligns with Wrexham’s ambition and shared popularity. The sponsorship reflects the club’s vision to establish Wrexham AFC as a Premier League team while making a positive impact on the community.
