Workers at 150 Starbucks to strike over chain’s stance on Pride decorations
June 23, 2023
Starbucks Workers United said that workers at 150 Starbucks will walk off the job today in protest over the chain’s alleged restrictions on Pride displays in its stores. Starbucks disputes the charge. “We unwaveringly support the LGBTQIA2+ community. There has been no change to any policy on this matter and we continue to encourage our store leaders to celebrate with their communities including for US Pride month in June,” a Starbucks spokesperson said.
