Group Adopts Privacy Guidelines for RFID

The nonprofit public-interest group The Center for Democracy and Technology with members including The American Library Association, Cisco Systems, Eli Lilly and Co., IBM, Microsoft, the National Consumers League, Procter & Gamble (P&G), VeriSign and Visa USA have adopted guidelines for the responsible use of information collected using radio frequency identification (RFID) tags.
