Medicare Part D Gets Mixed Reviews

A number of studies in the Journal of the American Medical Association give kudos to Medicare’s Part D drug benefit plan for making it easier for elderly consumers to afford prescription medicines. Researchers also point out, however, that the program hasn’t completely eliminated situations where people feel they are faced with the choice of paying for medicine or cutting back on everyday costs such as food and housing.
