CDC: Agencies Must Work Together to Improve Food Safety

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 76 million people in the U.S. are sickened with a foodborne illness every year with 5,000 dying. The CDC said eliminating barriers to communications between the various public and private groups involved in the food safety network is critical to reducing those numbers.
