Chipotle Celebrates the Return of the $6 ‘Boorito.’ Here’s What Else You Can Expect

October 9, 2024

Chipotle has announced the return of its popular Halloween promotion, “Boorito.” Fans of the fast-food restaurant can get a burrito of their choice for $6. But there’s a catch. Let’s take a look at what you can expect from this promotion.

Chipotle Brings Back the $6 Boorito

In a press release, it was revealed that the $6 Boorito, a popular spooky season promotion, has returned to Chipotle for a limited time. All customers have to do to get a $6 burrito is visit a Chipotle on Halloween after 3 p.m. dressed up in a costume. They must also be a member of Chipotle Rewards to redeem the deal.

The Boorito custom began in the United States in 2000 and has been observed at Chipotle locations in Canada since 2009. At its restaurants in the UK and France, Chipotle will be celebrating Boorito for the first time with an entrée special priced at £6 (in the UK) or €7 (in France). Fans in Canada may also take advantage of an in-restaurant entrée promotion on Boorito for $7 CAD.

“As an annual tradition for our fans, we are always looking for ways to level up our Halloween celebration,” said Chris Brandt, chief brand officer, in a statement accompanying the press release. “By extending hours on college campuses and expanding the festivities across two continents for the first time, Boorito will be bigger than ever.”

Some restaurants in college cities around the United States will stay open until midnight on Halloween in response to Gen Z’s late-night desires. 53 locations will stay open until 11:59 p.m. local time on Oct. 31 to make it easier for students to take advantage of the $6 entrée offer on Boorito. To see if a Chipotle near you is participating, you can check this list of after-hours locations.

The first-ever costume collection from Chipotle, in association with Spirit Halloween, the biggest Halloween retailer in North America, marked the beginning of the spooky season. The company collaborated with Spirit Halloween to design five costumes based on viral memes shared on their own social media platforms. While supplies last, the Chipotle napkin, fork, water cup, burrito, and to-go bag are the items in the collection and can only be found at SpiritHalloween.com and a few Spirit Halloween retail stores.

Other Fan Favorites Have Returned

The Boorito promotion isn’t the only thing that has returned to Chipotle. Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 10, the fast-food chain brought back the smoked brisket once again. Chipotle’s smoked brisket, which debuted three years ago, has been a popular menu item that customers want to see returned year after year.

If you’re interested in trying smoked brisket for the first time, Nevielle Panthaky, vice president of culinary, recommends the Smoked Brisket Burrito Bowl, which comes with white rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, and cheese.

“We are listening to our guests and bringing this fan-favorite menu innovation out of the vault after three years,” said Brandt in a statement accompanying the press release. “This premium protein is sure to delight guests looking to taste the difference of brisket prepared the Chipotle way.”

You won’t get a normal brisket experience from The Smoked Brisket. Traditional cooking techniques are employed to create rich flavor layers that perfectly match the brand’s usage of real, fresh ingredients. This innovative dish includes responsibly raised beef that is grilled and seasoned with smoked serrano and chipotle chilies. Hand-chopped into juicy, succulent chunks, the protein is finished with a delicious brisket sauce made with smoky chili peppers.

Thanks to Smoked Brisket, fans may now enjoy their favorite dish in a whole new way. What’s more, Chipotle makes the specialty in small amounts throughout the day to ensure freshness.

Last month, Chipotle further promoted the limited-time offer by offering free delivery.
