Burger King & Other Restaurants Are Giving Away Free Chicken Sandwiches Today. Here’s How To Get Yours

Burger King is celebrating National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day by giving away free chicken sandwiches to its customers. The fast-food chain’s competitors are also getting in on the fun. Let’s take a look at some other details on how you can get your free chicken sandwich.
Burger King, McDonald’s & More Celebrate National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day
PEOPLE is reporting that the fast-food giant is giving away a Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich with any purchase of $5 or more on Saturday, Nov. 9, in observance of National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day.
Served on a toasted potato bun, the sandwich consists of a white meat chicken breast fillet that has been crispy-breaded and topped with sauce, lettuce, and tomatoes.
Customers must be enrolled in Royal Perks, the brand’s free loyalty program, in order to benefit from the promotion. Members can use the Burger King website or app to activate the deal.
And Burger King isn’t the only fast-food restaurant getting in on the free chicken fun. Popeyes is also giving away free sandwiches in honor of the day. Customers can choose between the classic, spicy, and the new ghost pepper sandwich until Nov. 10. A minimum purchase of $10 must be made using the Popeyes app to qualify for the offer. Fans can place a mobile order for delivery or pickup.
McDonald’s is celebrating National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day with two special offers: $1 10-piece Chicken McNuggets from Nov. 4 to Dec. 2 and $2 McCrispy Sandwiches on just Nov. 9. Only orders placed through the McDonald’s app are eligible for both reductions.
Social media user Snackolator also shared some fried chicken sandwich deals from other fast-food chains, including Wingstop, Shake Shack, and KFC.
Advent Calendar Promotion
In addition to celebrating this consumer holiday, Burger King is gearing up to celebrate another holiday altogether: Christmas. Specifically, the fast-food giant is releasing its first-ever nostalgic advent calendar.
The BK Advent Calendar offers 12 surprises, each of which is a thoughtfully selected holiday present based on well-known commercials, noteworthy events, and menu items from Burger King’s seven decades of existence. The full list of gifts will be revealed in mid-November, but recipients can expect everything from nostalgic nods to the Burger King Kids Club and classic foods like Chicken Fries and the Whopper to festive flair and down-home comfort.
The eatery also revealed in October that it would be collaborating with Hidden Valley Ranch to develop “The Big Dip.“
A press release claims that the two companies worked together to provide guests with a special dish that is sure to get people chatting and dipping. The Big Dip cup replaces the standard 1-ounce dip cup with 8 ounces of creamy, tangy Hidden Valley Ranch.
Burger King restaurants in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco have been selling the Big Dip since Oct. 16 and will continue to sell the cup while supplies last. Customers in these markets can purchase any BK sandwich and request the cup in-restaurant at no additional cost by using a special tracker to locate the closest location that sells the Big Dip cup.
“Once we introduced Hidden Valley Ranch to Burger King restaurants nationwide, we knew we wanted to celebrate the partnership in a big way,” said Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer of Burger King North America, in a statement accompanying the press release. “We know our Guests love dipping everything in ranch — even their sandwiches — so we’re excited to deliver a Hidden Valley Ranch dip cup big enough for all of their dipping and dunking needs.”
