Target Extends Store Hours for the Holiday Season

November 18, 2024

Target is extending its store hours for the holiday season.

The retailer announced extended holiday shopping hours from 7 a.m. to midnight from Nov. 30 to Dec. 23. It will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Target will enhance customer experience by allowing them more time to shop for all holiday essentials. These will be preceded by shopping days surrounding Thanksgiving, allowing customers to take advantage of the retailer’s holiday deals 24/7 on Target.com and the Target app.

Target will remain open for its regular hours the day before Thanksgiving. However, on Black Friday, all Target stores will open at 6 a.m.

Mark Schindele, chief stores officer at Target, stated, “Target is the place to be on Black Friday — and all season long — with incredible deals on thousands of items across every category and exclusive in-store items you’ll want to pick up for everyone on your gift list this year. With extended store hours, convenient same-day pickup and delivery options and around-the-clock online availability, you can choose when, where and how to shop, and our fantastic team will be there to deliver.”

What Are the Shopping Options and Deals at Target This Holiday Season?

The day before Thanksgiving, Target stores will have plenty of options for last-minute holiday needs. The retailer offers drive-up and order pickup to get purchases the same day if an order is placed up to two hours prior to store closing. Target 360 members will also receive unlimited same-day delivery on orders over $35.

Black Friday deals aren’t just one day, but six. Target customers can capture hundreds of deals on everything in-store and online from Nov. 24-30.

In October, Target announced that it would reduce the prices of more than 2,000 items for the holidays. Consumers will find reduced prices on both seasonal and everyday items, making the most of their budgets as they prepare for gifts, food, and decorating needs.

Target’s biggest holiday assortment ever — with 50% more new items than last year — includes exclusive products and partnerships. More than half of Target’s holiday toys are under $20, and thousands of stocking stuffers are under $5.

Gifts can be found for the “Wicked” fan with a huge selection of movie-inspired and limited-edition merchandise. Target has also partnered with Marks & Spencer for a line of food, beverage, and home items. Finally, the company has introduced a new Bullseye shop section in almost 200 of its stores, which features Target-branded merchandise and gifts — most of which cost less than $25.

Finally, the company announced two exclusive Taylor Swift releases available only at Target: the official “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book” and a Target release of “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” album on both vinyl and CD, which comes with extra tracks exclusive to the retailer, including four acoustic bonus songs.
