Macy’s Cuts 7,000 Jobs

Macy’s said it would cut about four percent of its workforce in a move to reduce costs and streamline operations. The department store chain’s four regional divisions will be combined into a single buying office. The changes do not affect the company’s Bloomingdale’s business.
