Amazon Prime Members Can Get Flights for $25 — But There’s a Catch

December 5, 2024

Amazon Prime members can get flights home for the holidays for $25, but not everyone qualifies.

Just in time to enjoy the season with loved ones, Amazon and StudentUniverse are collaborating to provide a limited quantity of $25 flights to Prime members enrolled in the young adult plan, according to the announcement. This deal is a great addition to the amazing discounts, convenience, and entertainment that Prime members can enjoy all year long.

Eligible customers between the ages of 18 and 24 can register for the young adult membership and activate the StudentUniverse feature. Starting at 10 a.m. PST on Dec. 9, these Prime members can purchase tickets for just $25 on all domestic flights in the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia for travel between Dec. 9, 2024, and Jan. 14, 2025, while supplies last. During this deal, 5,000 $25 flight tickets will be offered, with 1,000 tickets being released daily from Dec. 9 through Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. PST.

“As a mom to a college student, I am excited to have my son home for the holidays,” said Carmen Nestares, vice president of U.S. Prime and Marketing Tech at Amazon, in a statement accompanying the announcement. “The holidays are a time to gather with loved ones, make memories, and create traditions, and we’re happy to help make flying more affordable for young adults who want to spend this important time with family and friends. Our Prime young adult membership not only delivers all the savings and value that Prime provides, it also offers exclusive benefits and surprise perks just for 18 to 24-year-olds.”

Amazon Upped Its Celebrity Endorsement Game

In recent weeks, Amazon has been engaging its customers in new and exciting ways with various celebrity promotions.

Last month, Adam Driver was hired by the corporation to create dramatic monologues using five-star reviews. The actor from “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” read actual customer reviews as part of the company’s 5-Star Theatre marketing campaign to promote Black Friday Week gift-buying. Driver makes some of the funniest and most viral five-star product evaluations on Amazon come to life in the advertisements.

Shortly thereafter, Amazon tapped Martha Stewart and Jennifer Hudson to host Black Friday shopping shows.
