True Classic Partners With Target, Selling T-Shirts in 460 Stores
December 17, 2024
True Classic has been a runaway success story by any metric. According to WWD, the brand has now earned $500 million in revenue, operates nine of its own locations, and has become a major wholesale player despite having only launched in 2019.
Now, True Classic — originally known for its fitted T-shirts, but now selling a variety of menswear — has announced it will be selling its core product in 460 Target stores across the U.S., per a press release.
“Since launching True Classic’s first retail location in 2023, we’ve seen incredible demand from our customers who want to experience our brand in a hands-on way,” CEO Ben Yahalom said.
“In entering a new phase of distribution in partnership with Target, we’re thrilled that we can continue to expand True Classic’s retail footprint, ensuring that each of our customers has easy access to our high quality apparel at accessible prices,” he continued.
True Classic Seeks To Expand Its Retail Reach in 2025
This latest partnership with Target is just another stepping stone toward continued growth for True Classic, as the clothing brand has also landed distribution deals with Kohl’s and Amazon, as Retail Dive reported.
While True Classic enjoyed immense success as a direct-to-consumer (DTC) operation, its continued diversification into retail has seen its sales footprint grow ever larger. Teaming up with Target seems to be the logical next step, as Yahalom noted.
“Our ultimate goal with wholesale is to be more accessible for our customers,” Yahalom said, as quoted by Retail Dive. “By launching in over 400 Target locations nationwide, we’ll be able to gauge how our customers respond to the new retail channel, along with seeing how our products resonate among Target’s broader customer base.”
True Classic’s Launch Features Short-Sleeve Classic Crew T
Those scouring Target aisles for True Classic apparel will find its popular short-sleeve classic crew T-shirt on the rack, available in black, white, navy, carbon, and military green. The shirts are available individually or bundled in a Target-exclusive customizable bundle.
According to Target’s website, individual short-sleeve T’s are priced at $29.99. Three-packs are available at a discounted price of $59.99, and brand superfans can purchase a six-pack of T-shirts in a variety of colors for $99.99.
