Whataburger Gives Away Las Vegas Wedding

December 24, 2024

Whataburger fans can share in their love for each other and the iconic fast-food restaurant by entering a contest for the chance to win a complete Valentine’s Day wedding.

Per a press release, the fast-food chain will award one lucky couple the ultimate prize: a Whataburger wedding at its Las Vegas location on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025. The company will take care of everything from the ceremony to the reception, with a few surprises along the way.

“Whataburger will cover the details. You just bring the love!” the release states.

Entering the contest is simple. Fans are encouraged to share a 30-to-45-second video sharing their unique love story. Was the iconic fast-food chain a part of it?

“Did you meet your soulmate in the drive-thru? Fall head over heels during a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit date? Or maybe Whataburger was there for your late-night snack runs? Whatever your story, Whataburger wants to hear it,” the release states.

Fans can submit their videos here until Dec. 30, and the chain will announce the winner on or around Jan. 13, 2025.

Whatawedding Promotion Helps Whataburger Celebrate Its 75th Anniversary in 2025

The Whatawedding promotion celebrates the chain’s upcoming 75th anniversary. On Instagram, the beloved fast-food chain stated that the winners can invite 75 members of their family and friends to watch as they tie the knot and enjoy a delicious meal on the house.

The secret to Whataburger’s success across generations lies in several key components. First, the fast-food company is committed to delivering a quality product that keeps burger aficionados coming back for more.

The company’s founder, Harmon Dobson, had a vision of generous portions — a burger that needed to be eaten with two hands — which led the chain to separate itself from the pack from the beginning. “When our founder started the company, he wanted a burger so big, he would have to hold it with both hands,” said Chief Administrative Officer Alex Ivannikov as reported by QSR. “We don’t make tiny burgers.”

Ivannikov added that Whataburger’s commitment to fresh ingredients sets it apart. According to QSR, the chain’s beef patties are never frozen and move quickly from processing plants to kitchens without using modified atmosphere packaging, a constant since the burger chain debuted in 1950.

Whataburger’s round-the-clock service is also a bonus. The company is only closed for one and one-half days per year: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

These core constants are what customers have come to rely on, and they will help the brand continue to grow. “We believe in balancing,” Ivannikov said. “We want to protect the legacy, protect our product, protect our brand … while not discarding any possibilities that do not conflict with that going forward.”

Additional 75th anniversary rollouts are planned throughout 2025, including a collaboration with the clothing brand Wrangler.
