Taco Bell Refreshes Its Menu With a New Twist on a Fan-Favorite Drink. Here Are the Details

January 17, 2025

Taco Bell has always catered to its clientele with periodic deals and menu refreshes. This latest menu refresh, however, puts a new twist on a fan-favorite drink. Let’s take a look at what we know about this bit of news.

Taco Bell Fans Are Calling It ‘Perfection’

According to Parade, Taco Bell is preparing to launch two new kinds of its iconic Baja Blast frozen drink in a fun new spin on its “Dirty Baja Blast.” The Baja Dream combines the popular Mountain Dew soda flavor with vanilla crème, while the Strawberry Baja Dream adds the sweetness of strawberries.

According to information provided directly to the outlet, the 16-ounce and 20-ounce sizes of the frozen drinks cost $3.69 and $3.89, respectively.

Per Snackolator on Instagram, the drinks were released on Jan. 16. One commenter on the food blogger’s post wrote, “It’s perfection,” concerning adding cream to a Baja Blast.

The drinks aren’t the only new thing on the menu.

The fast-food restaurant with a Mexican flair said on Wednesday, Jan. 15, that it will be introducing its new Cheesy Dipping Burritos this week. The rumor first caused controversy among fans when it was announced. The personalized entree costs approximately $4.99 a la carte and is offered nationally. The Cheesy Dipping Burritos are served with either Nacho Cheese, Sour Cream, or Chipotle dipping sauce with either steak or Cantina Chicken.

‘Luxe’ on a Budget

Meanwhile, Taco Bell also recently announced the Luxe Cravings Boxes for its inflation-weary fans. The new Luxe Cravings Boxes will be available from Jan. 16 through early June as part of Taco Bell’s mission to give every customer more flavor, alternatives, and value.

Taco Bell still provides full-sized, tasty selections to suit all budgets. It has expanded on the popularity of the $7 Luxe Cravings Box, which made its debut in 2024 and added a variety of items for less than $3 to the permanent Cravings Value Menu. Customers can choose the pricing that best fits their needs with the new Luxe Cravings Boxes, which are available for $5, $7, and $9.

Per PEOPLE, the boxes are as follows:

  • $5 Classic Luxe Cravings Box: Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink.
  • $7 Supreme Luxe Cravings Box: Chicken Chalupa Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Crunchy Taco, Chips & Nacho Cheese Sauce, and a medium fountain drink.
  • $9 Discovery Luxe Cravings Box: One of Taco Bell’s most recent menu item innovations (rotating regularly), Doritos Locos Tacos, Crunchy Taco, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink.

The taco business is saving its customers money in other ways besides the new meal deal package. According to the business, the Name Your Price Tool was also just launched.

The Name Your Price feature is exclusive to the Taco Bell app. Program participants can choose their food budget in $5 increments, from $5 to $25. The software automatically generates a random selection of menu items that are within that budget. For instance, a three-cheese chicken flatbread melt and a quesadilla might be included in a $10 dinner. Not feeling like having a quesadilla? Don’t worry, the application will create a new shopping basket with a different $10 assortment of things when you click the “refresh” button.

However, if a would-be taco foodie is certain they want a Mexican pizza or a Crunch Wrap supreme, the app will generate extra menu items at random to make up the difference, so they may “pin” those things to their carts. After the fact, taxes, fees, and gratuities are added. Although they can be uploaded separately, drinks, freezes, combinations, boxes, party packs, sauces, and early access items are not part of the tool.
