Red Lobster Says Lobsterfest 2025 Is the ‘GLOAT’

February 12, 2025

Lobsterfest is returning to Red Lobster, and this year it’s the GLOAT: The Greatest Lobsterfest of All Time.

Red Lobster is making 2025 truly unforgettable for its customers. A press release states the eatery has debuted 10 tasty dishes and a first-time Lobsterfest upgrade, the option to Create Your Own meal. This means that customers can build the plate of their seafood dreams by selecting two or three lobster entrées and customizing their perfect feast.

Also new to Red Lobster are the Lobster & Shrimp Linguini and a Lobster Roll. Legendary Red Lobster favorites including hush puppies and popcorn shrimp are back and will continue to be served with endless Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

Nichole Robillard, CMO at Red Lobster, stated in the press release, “Lobsterfest is the ultimate celebration for lobster lovers, and this year, we’re taking it to the next level with more variety, more flavor, and more ways than ever for guests to satisfy their crustacean cravings. From brand-new lobster creations to our exciting new Create Your Own option, we’re serving up a lobster-loaded lineup that’s sure to please any palate.”

Along with its seafood creations, Red Lobster has rolled out a collaboration with NBA All-Star Blake Griffin. The Dunk Champion is bringing his plating skills to Red Lobster, where customers can enjoy their lobster Blake Griffin’s way. This tasty platter includes a Rock Lobster Tail, the new Garlic Butter-Poached Maine Lobster, and the new Lobster Mac & Cheese.

“This year’s Lobsterfest is going to be epic,” Griffin said. “My Lobsterfest plate is stacked and I can’t wait for fans to try it and make this year’s Lobsterfest the greatest Lobsterfest of all time.”

Red Lobster’s New CEO Continues To Revitalize the Once-Lagging Restaurant Chain

Since taking the reigns of Red Lobster in September 2024, CEO Damola Adamolekun has freshened up the once-lagging restaurant chain. Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May 2024. The eatery emerged from bankruptcy in September 2024 after a court approved a Chapter 11 plan and RL Investor Holdings LLC acquired the restaurant chain.

Since taking the helm, Adamolekun revamped its menu, reintroduced fan favorites, and added happy hour at many restaurants nationwide. Adamolekun shared with Business Insider that the company has shifted its goals to invest in its customers, simplify and improve operations, deliver consistent products, revitalize its marketing efforts, and upgrade its technology systems and infrastructure.

Adamolekun’s ambitious efforts are matched by his leadership skills. He is steadfast in modeling what effective leadership looks like for his employees and fostering a positive work environment for all.

“Practicing emotional control means taking a moment to pause, assess the situation, and respond thoughtfully, rather than reacting impulsively,” he said. “When you model emotional control, you create a stable environment where your team feels supported and motivated, even in the face of adversity. By modeling emotional resilience, you inspire your team to approach adversity with confidence and composure, which helps maintain a positive work environment.”

Red Lobster’s Lobsterfest is currently running through April 20, 2025.
